Focus Voice Control is now built into Focus X2 (activation must be purchased). This feature simplifies and speeds up Focus use, allowing you to log events and control Focus using spoken voice commands. For more information click here.
You may be familiar with the license hierarchy that linked Focus X2 and X3; this has now been changed. If a PC has both Focus X2 and Focus X3 installed then each will require a separate license activation. This allow you to try Focus X3 without affecting any existing X2 license and you can also use X2 and X3 on different PCs. To obtain a temporary or full license within X2 or X3, start Focus and click on 'Help' - 'Registration'.
Please note that Focus requires Microsoft DirectX version 9.0 or greater to run. This Microsoft component is included as part of Windows XP but for other Windows versions you may need to install DirectX. You can confirm whether you need DirectX by performing a simple check on your PC: click on your Windows 'Start' button then select 'Run'. In the entry field type "dxdiag" and click 'ok'. After a few seconds a dialog will appear which lists DirectX Diagnostic Information about your PC. At the bottom of the first page in this dialog, in the System Information section, will be a note of your DirectX version. For example: "DirectX Version: DirectX 8.1".
